Why subscribe?

It’s honestly a good question.

I post so that those close to me (and hopefully those who aren’t) can see my authentic expression as I explore topics I have always wanted to write about. In posting, I hope to encourage others that it’s okay to be seen— even in your mess, even at your worst—you are seen and valued. This newsletter is me doing that for myself as much as it is for anyone else.

I’ve been given gifts, and I’m told sharing these gifts is part of how we go about changing the world we live in—and we so desperately need change. If I have the ability to bring any kind insight to anyone as we all traverse these weird, wild waves, I’m no longer the kind of person to withhold that.

I’m not necessarily looking for subscribers, but I’m happy to have your support and receive it as the love that it is. It would be cool to one day to have a substantial platform here, but that will happen in whatever time it needs to.

The Plan

The idea here is for my musings to be free to the public because that’s the bulk of what I currently want to be putting out into the universe here on Substack.

However, I’m also thinking of paid content that could include:

  • A podcast of some kind,

  • Short stories and accompanying art work - this project in particular I’m very excited about because the short stories will be based on the abstract paintings,

  • My longer form poems that can’t be found on Instagram, &

  • Serial short stories in which I write episodes as I go

These are just some ideas, and we’ll see how executing them goes. Perhaps more subscribers would be enough encouragement to follow-thru though ;)

At any rate, thanks for being here! I hope through this publication I’ll have at least accomplished providing ample food for thought.
